you mean the 1st FF?
That's hilariously bad, and you should only play it if you
1. Enjoy a game full of grinding with almost no storyline.
2. Are a huge FF fanboy

Not as bad as FF1 but still not great or anything.
Haven't played 3. I never finished 1 because it was so bad. 4 and 5 are alright.
6 I thought was totally awesome (probably because it's the 1st one I played, and that was when I was like 13yo or something, so my opinion of it is probably highly inflated).

Afraid not. I'll pick it up again once I get through FFVII.
Lately, I've been losing interest in games.

I enjoy it. But then again, I kinda do fall under category 2.

But Final Fantasy II has even more grinding than Final Fantasy, how can you say that two is not as bad?

Becuase 2 at least has some story line to follow through with, not just "I'm a hero of light, lets go kill bosses a, b, c, d, e...."
And I the version I played is the GBA remake version of 2, which I think had it's grind level reduced?

I suppose RPG gamers these days just use the story line as motivation to finish the game >_>
And yeah the Dawn of Souls version of Final Fantasy II had it's grinding reduced but you'll still probably grind the moment you step out of Altair.
The remakes of Final Fantasy also had the grinding reduced with players needing less EXP to level up and their stats are boosted from the start. The grinding is almost non-existent in those versions. In fact your characters will be over leveled.
Although there's still grinding for money though.

Or if the gameplay is really fun, well that's fine too. FF1's gameplay can hardly be called fun.
Look if I want to just grind, I'd rather grind MMOs which at least gives me epeen.
And if I were to grind MMOs, I'd rather grind real life which gives money. Money > epeen.

Never tried the GBA version of FF1, only tried the old one like forever ago, and I just remeber it to be "lets grind mobs to kill bosses" and that's it.
