When you say it adds numbers, what do you mean?
Do you see the Numbers Mixed Up with the Subs on the image below?
Well, That is what I mean, That is why I don't like Any Video Converter.
Im trying to find a Better MKV Converter to Convert Subbed Animes for PSP.

RE: Convert mkv video with subs to psp
Huh. And this only happens when using AVC? Are you sure the subs themselves aren't messed up?

Yes, Only with AVC. I really don't know if the Subs are messed up.

Check if that happens while watching the same part in VLC or another media player. If it does, then the subtitles are probably borked. It looks like it's displaying styles and timecodes for dialogue.

Aside from UMD movies, the PSP does support softsubs, but only in MP4's native timed text format (.ttxt), which like noone has heard of. If you want to convert .srt into .ttxt I think MP4Box can actually do that.
I've tried, it doesn't work.
The subtitles button in MP4 video never gets enabled.
PMPlayer AdVanCe is the only way to use soft subs.
Personally, I just use DirectVobSub to burn in the subs. No messing around with extracting subtitles/fonts required, though getting DirectVobSub to work properly can be a bit annoying.
I'd recommend ffdshow's subtitle filter, but I seem to have issues with it with embedded subs + AVS (it also doesn't have all the effects supported by donkey).

It's only something I heard, I never actually personally tried. Well, so much for that.

Make sure you're using the Haali Media Splitter for MKV (any non-s hitty codec pack should default to that). Play some random video -» double click the Haali tray icon -» Options -» Compatibility -» auto-load VSFilter. DirectShowSource will load Haali which will now automatically load and connect VSFilter giving you subs.
