Hmm, I thought they'd make a workaround / ability to hide the message to users who still wished to use it, but it appears it's not that easy.

EDIT: google.com has a link on its front page. google.com.au doesn't

Apparently it only affects desktop users who have Javascript enabled in their browser. Mobile users, for example, aren't affected.
