Well for now he's taking a vacation (lol). and afterwards he is working on a new project.


He will still contribute to Minecraft's development but Jeb will be the one with the final say now.

Ok, bukkit got updated, slowly over the course of the day I'll be updating stuff little by little. The server won't be up till later today, but I figured I should at least give a reason for the downtime.

and its up! I'm waiting on permissionsbukkit to get updated so wee can get our fancy chat colors and groups back, but weve got a minecraft world again!

i really feel like getting a nether kingdom going... anybody up for that?

Ok, I  built a spawn point for us, and put a rail leading out of it, but it doesn't go anywhere. Once wee get a good city going, I'll hook the rail into it (try to start building in the same direction as the rail goes, wee can have the doors out leading to open territory or something cool like that.

also: Seeing as wee're going to start a new world, I'm going to be disabling /warp and /setwarp and instead be switching to a teleporter plugin. This will make it easier for people to check out what everyone is building, and it shouldn't be particularly difficult to build a portal when you build a house.

here's a video on how to use it, it looks pretty awesome, you can send minecarts through portals, and make portals between different worlds (test out those cool worldedit plugins and have water worlds and sky bubble worlds and cool stuff like that), and it will make the nether much more useable because people will be able to define exactly where they warp to in the nether, allowing for nether transport stations and nether mines sending carts of glowstone back to the normal world etc etc.

...and, its all up and running. I got the permissions fixed, switched to that portal plugin, and built a protected spawn for everyone. You guys now have a brand new minecraft world to play in.
