Then just write sfc /scannow inside However do note that it _can_ mess things up if your Windows is not legit! It's unlikely but still possible >.<
Sorry. I'm not familiar with this CD but I think it's this CD that I received when I bought the laptop. It's name is XP Support DVD rev 2.0. Is this the Windows XP CD you are refering to?
Well manufactures tend to make a mess of Windows CDs/DVDs but it should work!
Ok. I shall try it :)
Thanks for helping out.

RE: Help: Uninstall Leftovers
Generally transformation packs are not worth the bother IMO. They typically need to change a number of system files (for changing images/icons etc) and sometimes the effects can be rather taxing on system resources.
All this for just cosmetics.
For the PSP it's okay (reinstalling firmware not a big issue), though for Windows, reinstalling may not be so straighforward if you want to retain all your settings etc.

I haven't tried it yet because my laptop doesn't have a cd drive. My mom has the external cd drive but when I borrow it from her, she might suspect that I have done something crazy with my laptop and she'll kill me for that. Hmm.

Ohhh. Actually, the other icons and images in the folder doesn't affect my laptop anymore and it doesn't change anything anymore. Just except that splash. Will it be best for me to upload the folder so everybody can see what it contains and know what the problem is? Ohh, and, thanks for the reply.

No, there's no exe of some stuff in the folder. All is left in the folder is avi's, bmp's, wav's, png's, jpg's, gif's, txt's, log's, bin's, res's ang log's. The ones that bothers me are the text files which are named: wintrust.dll.txt, wscript.exe.txt and other stuffs. And the res files named: shell32.dll_1025.res, shell.dll_3082 and etc. Why is there a res file concerning dll's. My aunt says it's okay to delete a folder, just not the folders of programs with dll's left. I don't know what she means about it. But, that's all I know :(
