also PS3 because it is more reliable, even with the slim's chaeaper build i find the 360 to be flimsier, and I've been to repair store and they still RRoD more than PS3s break.

it's all down to opinion, you seem to prefer the PS3, so go with your gut and get one. don't let us tell you otherwise :/

I've found that the 360 has better graphics for certain games compared to the PS3 versions. Live hasn't been hacked yet. The 360 has more homebrew.

The PS3 has a better store system. Online play and usage for the PS3 is free. The PS3 has media streaming that doesn't require Windows Media Center.

Black Ops for 360 looks so much better than the PS3 version. Note that I am not a fan of CoD but I just noticed a huge difference graphics wise between the two.

because developers are lazy and cannot be bothered to fully optimise for each system.
what the PS3 may be great at in terms of I/O functions and CPU calls, the 360 may suck at. and vice versa.
play to your first development environment's strengths, and then the other version is just hacked together from the previous code.

graphics isn't everything

well i will go for the ps3 in any of these arguments... i don't really care about the differences between the consoles to be honest but I've used playstation for years now and there's nothing apppealing for me on the 360. and for the pc argument i will say this. yes it's going to be difficult to best a pc on gaming power but to be able to play games as seamlessly as the consoles can you generally need some good hardware which can cost quite a lot of money and personally i feel that i could spend the money on something much better than something which allows me to play the games i could get on my ps3 anyway.
      when it comes down to consoles honestly just get the one that you think looks nicer because it's coming to the point where looks are the only truly defining features these days.

PC gaming has the best graphics, but the array of gaming services is so disjointed, it always will be. like andrewcc said, console gaming is the most seamless experience, and like for him, playstation has never done me wrong since the PS1, and the xbox offers nothing for me.
