All you should need is a gun, and a knife.
The gun is to kill the people who defy you. Ammo optional, depending on how hard you are.
The knife is for those pesky retinal scanners. Or handprint scanners. You'd be dumb not to carry one, at any rate.

Brutality works but you better hope a number of people don't go for you when they realize you're not shooting.

Having said that, if you just happened to have not wanted to shoot and they all go for you it would turn into a bit of a mess.
