First Look: Twitter Social Application On PS Vita
The first image with the software for social apps (Twitter) for PS Vita has appeared, and it is officially confirmed that the PS Vita will integrate all the major social networks like Facebook and Foursquare, but also an engine for Skype.

The Twitter platform looks the same as the smartphone one, but Facebook prepares a new engine and a special interface for PS Vita, considering the fact, players will be able to play Facebook games using the new gaming platform.

However, it was also confirmed by the President of SCEA that Vita would not be available for USA gamers until 2012.

Saying that, twitters own app for the w995 is just a link to the mobile site, so it could well be just that. Didn't sony just smack a browser link on the ps3 crossbar for the iplayer long before it got it's dedicated app?

This is fake. Here's why.
  • The font is not the Vita/PS3 font - it's Arial.
  • The display picture for @iSozial does not match the display picture used on their actual account.
  • There is no tweet matching the one in the photo.
  • The device says "PlayStation" - not "PSVITA."
  • The draggable region (two diagonal lines on the bottom-right) is the exact same as the style of Chromium.
  • The rest of the announced and previewed Vita apps are polished. Why would the Twitter app be the only one that wasn't?
  • The cloud background to the right of "Refresh" abruptly cuts off.
