From what I understand, Mashiro-iro Symphony -Love is Pure White- is mostly a romance story, with slice-of-life.  Rating is 77.81 (EGS mean, top is around 90), so decent, but not like the best thing ever.  Majikoi is actually higher in terms of ratings, 81.37, that one's mostly slice-of-life & comedy.  I don't really recommend either though, since most VN adaptations suck ass, especially those that get turned into crappy harem shows (you'll just have to wait and see).

Also, you can't really be sure of anything until at least 1/2 the show has been aired or something, but that's a debate for another day.
