Definitely seems like the had this planned, since the article says the started working on the technology a year and a half ago.

Implying Skype wasn't already monitored. Wireshark it some time.

I never used Skype.  Was going to start using it, because most of my friends use it, but eh... now I don't want to :/

True, but it wasn't Microsoft monitoring it before.

Seems like they're trying to be more like Google; tracking everything everyone on the planet does.

I feel like this breaches some kind of privacy law.
