Either I'm super-slow, or I've beaten everyone else to watching this.
What did everyone else think of Steins Gate?

Personally, I'm up to episode 9, and I've chuckled at least once per episode. The "mad scientist"'s tinfoil-fuelled theories are amusing, and the whole concept of using a Microwave and a cellphone to transmit text messages back in time is a hoot to my mind.

Also the ridiculous names for operations, actions or abilities.

RE: Steins; Gate
I've watched part of the first episode, but stopped for some reason.  I never really watched it again after that, but I'll probably start watching it again.  It did seem interesting.

RE: Steins; Gate
Apart from Nichijou, Steins;Gate is my favorite anime this season. I like the "MADO SCIENTISTU" main character.

@Syfe:
MAL Wrote:Steins;Gate is set in the summer of 2010, approximately one year after the events that took place in Chaos;Head, in Akihabara.

Steins;Gate is about a group of friends who have customized their microwave into a device that can send text messages to the past. As they perform different experiments, an organization named SERN, who has been doing their own research on time travel, tracks them down and now the characters have to find a way to avoid being captured by them.

RE: Steins; Gate
A bunch of people led by a guy with possible paranoia issues wind up making a time travel device.
Slow to start and confusing as fudge, but it picks up and you start putting two and two together to make sense.
Also, I loved the lampshade right after the intro in episode 1, where they briefly discuss whether someone would know if they were in a videogame; a homage to the fact that this was a Visual Novel before this.

not necessarily, I haven't seen Chaos;head and I can go along with this just fine.
But I do know Assassinator has seen it, maybe he can shed some light on it

Unless they fuck it up pretty hard, it has to be good.  Console versions are generally somewhat overrated, but even if that's the case, you don't get those scores from being overrated alone.

I haven't started watching S;G myself, but I highly doubt you need to know anything related to Chaos;Head.

Chaos;Head was so-so-ish, watch it if you want, but don't expect something extra good.

Hidan no Aria is pretty bad.
