Norman seems to be easier in Emerald. In R/S he had to Slakings and none of those silly Linoones and Spindas >_>

Now I didn't bother reading the text, but that Norman battle looked like an example of, keep hitting the instant win button to, well, win.

Yeeeah... as someone who only owned pokemon Ruby as a gameboy game for years, (and subsequently clocking it to buggery, event pokemon included) I would say Norman seemed a lot easier. (Sadly, pokemon ruby recently died a horrible death of chinese memory circuit decay, where it attains the memory span associated with goldfish.)
Then again, I never started with torchic, this is my first time using a fire-type starter in any pokemon game, ever. It's a new sensation. (Always picked treeko as a starter for 3rd generation games)

No, there was about three buttons. The "slug bottle of soda pop" button, the "bulk up" key, and "double kick".
But yeah, seeing as I just squeezed past that last gym battle, even with a type advantage, I figured it would be a good idea to pick a low-damage enemy and buff dem stats.
Down to just a little less than two dozen soda pop now, though.

That happened to my copy of Pokemon Red... as a brat kid you could probably guess how heart breaking that moment must have felt >_>

Well, I had some advance warning, and Generation 4 pokemon games all have pokesav available. So I recorded my pokemon, and all visible stats in a little notebook - my A-team, the best six pokemon I had.
They now sit in a pokemon box in Soul Silver, awaiting the call to duty they will never have.

I actually never beaten 2nd or 3rd Pokemon games. Not that I really plan to except maybe when I'm bored enough.

Alright, everybody: Back your spoon up and set your poopers to brick-size, it's a late update! (Blame Pokemon Black and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker in equal amounts.)

Spoiler for Part X-2 3: Rogue Priest:
Alright, so let's get this show on the road.
Oh, wait. That's a metal gear solid screenie.
This looks a bit more like it; I'm on a motherfudgeing pokemon, bitches.
Look, it's these two again.
I remember you, baby. Ain't nobody done that before.
I know there's people who have gone to counselling to try to forget. They didn't.
I declined, and kicked her donkey at pokemon again before continuing on my merry way.

Oh look, it's STEVEN.
Not really.
What a strange meeting. My life is filled with interesting times.

WHAT
No way, man, I'm calling bullchocolate.
Fuck.

On the other side of the grass, I find...
Oh, don't...
No, you didn't...
He did. Oh dear.

In more successful news...

Oh, look. A rare breed of pirate, the Sentry Pirate.
Uh-oh, my legs are playing up because of the rain.
I couldn't help it!
DID SOMEBODY ASK FOR A MALE STRIPPER AT THIS PARTY
THEY DID NOW
[Image: part12031.jpg]
I put my clothes back on after this bitch started laughing at me. It's only this small because it's cold.
I'll meddle until my meddler is all meddled out.
I'd certainly like to believe the latter.
Uh, no.
I do try.
Your boyos are blocking the goddamn bridge, that's what. Also, I felt I was overdue for some public exposure.

Suddenly, another pirate ran in and pushed me aside.
MT PYRE, huh? Would you say it's height is OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAND?
NINE THOUSAND?

The pirates departed with haste, leaving a haze of grog behind. By default, this makes me the winner.
What do you call a shapeshifting, thing which is largely useless to the team in general?
Yes, because that is so useful.
Gee, thanks.

The sentries are gone, but I have a bad feeling about this bridge.
Huh. Nothing. I guess-
[Image: part12052.jpg]
... she's right behind me, isn't she?
Put your 3-D glasses on, bitch - it's coming at ya.

...

Pfft. It's you who needs to work on your pokemon.

In before complaints about not a sexual present, etc.
Phew, what an awkward encounter. In and out like a hurrcane that is terrible at pokemon battles.
How did you know?
And with that, he trotted back off the way he came.

Time to give fudges and kick donkey - and I'm all out of fudges.
A SHORT WALK SEPERATES ME FROM SWEET, SWEET donkey-KICKING
[Image: part12074.jpg]
What
is
this
bullchocolate
Fine. I know where I'm not-
[Image: part12075.jpg]
Welp, it looks like work is over for me, so this is where it ends. I'll carry on later today.
Also, pokemon black has some nice features, but by far the worst thing is the camera - yes, it's 3D! I know! Stop showing off, Game Freak!

AHAHAHA

He thinks hes as strong as people. Send him on outer ops alone, im sure he will come back.

But onto pokemon. In my years of playing emerald version Fortree city was always my favourite city. Fun gym leader fight which allows you to use fly, which of course is kickass.

And naming Castform blue spy? Genius.

Ah, Pokemon Black, you choose the version where the mascot pokemon looks like it has a big hairy cock.
