From what I understand of what's been said so far, yes, you have to restart.

Well, the traditional definition of trolling is pretty much along the lines of doing stuff (eg. provoking others), to extract some kind of response out of them (rage, or surprise, or whatever), to your own amusement.  Imagine fishing, and you're the fisherman.

Though from what I see these days, anyone who pretty much disagrees with you is being (incorrectly) labeled as a troll.

Anyway, this "Nuzlocke Run" is almost like willingly doing something to the result of making yourself rage sometime in the future, in that sense, it's pretty much like trolling yourself.

The difference being, that if you actually do succeed, you get some sense of achievement at the end I guess.  But he failed...

If that's not trolling himself, I don't know what is.

Challenging himself?

yea, challenging himself.

I would consider it trolling myself anyway (even if I succeed in the end), if it were me doing it.

RE: Pokemon Emerald "Nuzlocke Run" (image-heavy)
Losing it all because of something which only had 10% chance to happen; such is life in the Hoenn region.

Anyway, a small update today; I opted to spend time trying to take a tank and most of it's infantry escort alive. I still have not suceeded with the tank, I'm afraid. (Bonus points if you can guess what game, and are not Grey Ghost)

Spoiler for Part Ten:
Previously, on Drago- I mean, Sigmund's Adventure:
Yes. She's a fire type user, so Ramirez should, in theory, be able to carry the team to victory.
Little does she know, Ramirez uses performance enhancing drugs.
In containers that look like strangely shaped dildos, no less.
Ramirez, in a 'roid-fuelled fury, oneshots her numel to death.
Go! POWAH SHOT
[Image: part10007.jpg]
Oh, dude what
[Image: part10008.jpg]
I took a turn to cure the poison (In which time her slugma was healed, only to be raped by a crit in the next turn. Such is life.)
Huh, he won't stand a chance against Ramirez's steroid-fuelled watergun.
And down he goes, like a sack of bricks.
Torkoal, you're going do-
[Image: part10012.jpg]
Okay, so it's a bit of a tank and has Casanova's charm.
I have a bad feeling about this.
Ohhhh noooooo
[Image: part10015.jpg]
JESUS TITTY FUCKING CHRIST
Torkoal took advantage of Ramirez while he was in love and Overheated. If you're unfamilar with the move, it's like a really powerful fire move (about 150 power or somesuch) but drops Sp. Atk after use.
I underestimated it, and now Ramirez has paid the ultimate price.
Just to rub some salt on the wound, Torkoal's Sp. Atk is now back to full.
For Ramirez!
Fucking-
[Image: part10020.jpg]
This battle...
This battle is nothing but raw trolling. I don't think the trolling can get any worse.
FAAAAHHHHHHH-
[Image: part10023.jpg]
Shiiit, that was close. Luckily, Erhardt has a knack for escaping death by inches.
Slowly shaving away Torkoal's hp. This is why I didn't have Erhardt leading this fight, fighting rock-types with double-kick is blue murder.
Erhardt has a brush with death after a critical body-slam.
Torkoal just enjoys pushing that "trolling" slider all the way up, doesn't it?
As a reference, wee're probably in turn 30-40 at this point, thanks to Torkoal's defence, bodyslamming, being in love and paralyzed, as well as FLANNERY healing Torkoal to maximum; and I'm up to my waist in empty soda-pop bottles.
Persistience pays off. After I get the idea to Bulk Up about three times, double kick starts doing decent damage.
Wee did it, Ramirez. Your sacrifice was not in vain.
This badge is stained with blood; the blood of Ramirez. He died as he lived; carrying the team and doing everything himself.
I'm too depressed to even make a innuendo.
The day gets worse!
Being observant as ever, she notes that I have beaten FLANNERY.
...ah, goggles?
Unlike Ze Goggles, which do nothing. Profitable.
Wench, you're so full of yourself, I don't even know where to begin.
I know where she's going... I guess I'll get this over and done with, and go "talk" with my DAD, NORMAN.
Owing to the recent... vacancy... in my team, I've re-drafted Bruce to the team, and added everyone's favourite immigrant grass-water combo, Eduardo, to replace Lex Luthor.
And I'll leave it there. I have work tomorrow, so I might be able to make more progress. (Although, seeing as I'll be up to my neck in children's birthday parties, I doubt it. Screaming children don't make for conductive pokemoning.)
Ramirez, you will not be forgotten. (terrible drawings, ahoy!)

On a somewhat unrelated note, I'm making an RPG game, and I need more people which can be recruited to the player's party. (total of 9 recruitable people, only two are given by default.) So, if you guys want to volunteer a character, feel free.
Just need a name, and a general job title (e.g. "Priest", or perhaps "Detective"). You can include a weapon preference (guns, swords, magic, unarmed) if you want, or I'll just pick one based on what someone with [job title] would maybe know.

RE: Pokemon Emerald "Nuzlocke Run" (image-heavy)
Alright, so work was a shade busier than expected.
Anywho, part 2 of part 10... perhaps I will call this Part X-2, yes.

Spoiler for Part X-2:
Grieving for Ramirez aside, wee'll move on.
A very small localized sandstorm over an equally small desert. How peculiar. Well, my Go-Goggles defy this attempt at fudgeing me around, and I set off to catch a pokemon.
This is acceptable.

Scene jump!
On my return trip, I stop in at Rydel's, and get my bike swapped.
Bitcheeeees. You wish you could ride like me. I wish I could ride like me, and I'm me!

It's... uh... are you the corporate guy or the guy who hangs out in gyms? If the latter, how the fudge did you beat me here?
He didn't mention the holes and stains, right? That totally wasn't me.
And the award for "chocolatetiest metaphor" goes to this guy!
For a moment there, I thought you were going to be cool and name it after me. "The Sigmund Ball" has an excellent ring to it.
My prize is a pokeball which I can use to catch a pokemon I've already caught once, again. Fabulous.

Meanwhile, at Petalburg Gym...
MEL- I mean, SIGMUND IS HERE
[Image: part11020.jpg]
Okay, so my DAD runs a GYM of bullchocolate and item abuse. I knew I got it from somewhere.
I choose this one.
As you can see, accuracy didn't phase me much, no. (Although, a cat that used shock wave was a suprise)
It's hard to recover if your pokemon's colon is being worn as an anklet by my pokemon.
And this room was just a guy who relied on crits, so used slash.
He didn't last long.

This is the team for this battle:
Relatively unchanged, but I'm sure I will do fine if I lead with Erhardt.

I'll finish this tomorrow. Tired today.

RE: Pokemon Emerald "Nuzlocke Run" (image-heavy)
Alright, time to finish Part X-2 and put NORMAN's bits to the grinder.

Spoiler for Part X-2 2: The Sigmund Strkes Back:
Sorry, I was so enthusiastic about kicking his first pokemon's donkey, I forgot to snap a picture.
It was a Spinda.
Emphasis on "was", it is now a generic red smear.
Vigoroths are (mostly) about speed, if I recall correctly, so I should use this pokemon as time to buff my stats, and buff them good.
SO... MUSCLY...
I SHOULD BE A MAJOR IN AN ARMY SOMEWHERE, PERHAPS LOOKING FABULOUSLY HANDSOME, PUNCHING ROCK AND Spoon.
IS THERE NO LIMIT TO MY POWER

APPARENTLY NOT, I KICKED VIGOROTH'S donkey SO HARD HE TURNED INTO A LINOONE
[Image: part11041.jpg]
AND THEN I KILLED THE LINOONE, TOO, HOLY Spoon I'M GOOD
[Image: part11043.jpg]
Apparently, NORMAN thinks he can get away with nothing short of full-on sloth... I'm not sure how that's supposed to work, but whatever:
I love to be lazy as much as the next guy, but it's hard to be lazy when you're as fabulously ripped as I.
I think this is a bit anti-climatic. Oh well, I can't help being tank.
It better be a bit more than a raise in my non-existant allowance, you old bastard.
Nope, it's a fourth badge of hipstery. I AM NOW ONE HALF HIPSTER, I AM ALMOST "WITH IT"!

Where does it say in the fabric of the universe that I must only recieve TMs as rewards? I'd much rather have hookers, blow, and/or sexual favors. Of course, not the latter from my DAD, but the hookers and blow, certainly. Ludicrous sums of cash would also work.
I think this is a relative of WALLY. It's either his dad, or his uncle; they both look the fudgeing same.
He won't mind. Let's walk and talk.

WAS THE DARK HOOD, KICKING AND ROPE-TYING REALLY NECESSARY? I KNOW THIS IS WALLY'S HOUSE, I KNOW WHERE IT IS, JESUS CHRIST
[Image: part11061.jpg]
Good for him! My one remaining kidney feels like pulp, you wanker!
You have a strange way of expressing gratitude!
Oh god, it's 'borrowed' goods, isn't it?
...I can't even get decent 'borrowed' goods? What is wrong with this world, it's like a bunch of... freaks... designed this world to be a douche to me, non-stop!
I'm blowing this popsicle stand, jesus.

I went back to Verdanturf to rough WALLY up some as revenge for what his parents did to me, but it turns out that the little chocolatehead has up and done a runner.
Sonofabitch, his parents ratted me out. I'll catch up to him, the world's a small place, almost like it was designed for some sort of fourth-generation hand-held console.
I wasn't worrying; I'm sure he'll last long enough for me to find him and fudge his spoon up.

A quick stop at the daycare; yes, I remember Mr. Fish.
15 levels of good, yes. That would put him somewhere about level 20. I leave him there, it's not expensive.
Oh look, it's our resident supervillain, WATTSON.
I won't "zuck ya pocky", if that's what you're after, you creepy old fudge.
Translation: Wattson has a Secret Lair of Doom, as does every supervillain.
You should take responsibility and turn your own damn lights off when you leave.
Well, I guess I've always wanted the key to a city... a Secret Lair of Doom is okay, I guess.
Wait, challenge?
You mean you left the security systems running?!

After using a skydive-rig-thing to lower myself down, a'la Tom Cruise, I arrive at New Mauville, Secret Lair of Doom, belonging to WATTSON.
I've incorporated Baller into the party, on account of how troll-y ground types are vs. electric type moves.
More turns than there should be later...
Paralysis - god-tier trolling, and this pokemon's all about that bullchocolate.

I slience the generator with my good looks, massive endowment and sexual prowess.
All night long, baby - all night long.
How can I, hold all these TMs?

I take charge by stomping angrily east.
Oh look, peasants I could have beaten up earlier. How quaint.
I SEE THE SEA
GEDDIT
IT'S A JOKE
OR A PUNE
A PLAY ON WORDS
BECAUSE THE WORDS "SEE", and "SEA" SOUND THE SAME
BUT THEY AREN'T
THEY AREN'T EVEN THE SAME TYPES OF WORD
SEE IS A VERB, AND SEA IS A NOUN, SEE (CWHATIDIDTHERE) (DOHOHOHO, I DID IT AGAIN)
YOU DON'T GET IT
WHY AREN'T YOU LAUGHING
YOU'RE ALL A BUNCH OF NEANDERTHALS FOR NOT FINDING THIS HUMERUS.
I'll go tell my jokes where they'll be more appreciated. Also, this is as far as I've gotten, so more next week.
Ciao!
