I don't like to use installers, its easy to upgrade. But whatever as long as it works.

i personally don't use installers, i was just giving it to him because it makes the whole thing alot easier for him and for us because it a pain in the donkey to explain what to do. this way everything gets done alot more easily. :D

just after you get back to 3.40OE-A make sure you read the threads organ gave you so you don't mess up your psp again.
To clear a few things up for you:
recovery menu's are only on custom firmware - sony's firmware doesn't have it.
as long as your recovery menu works, everything will be ok, don't panic.
