You're talking about FFVII right? Because there's nothing wrong with FFVIII's translation.
But yeah FFVII could do with a better translation... but only if it keeps the best lines in the game, such as...

- Chronotrigger needs a full 3d remake, or more look like a DragonQuest 8 graphics, which is i found good
- FFVIII don't need for a remake since the way it was made is already (or almost) perfect
- FFVII really need a remake for its very poor translation and graphical glitches
- Pepsiman for HD quality, for fun only, :P
- Road Fighter from Konami in Nes console also needs a full remake, i wonder how will it goes when you are in full speed and superman will flying at your left side of the screen, lol
- Little Ninja Brothers from Nes console, i wish it was remake more like a double dragon fighting scenes with RPG elements

I agree with everything the above posters have posted. Including the Crash team racing. That game was win and a remake in HD would be ♥
