As opposed to just a computer opponent, here's a robot playing a physical version of the game.

If you're bored of the video, interesting parts to see are around 2:10 and 2:45 (offering draw).

The robot doesn't actually have any optical sensors, relying on the fact that the board records the positioning of the pieces, so it's probably not as glamorous as it seems.
However, interesting robot.

According to the source, this is a blitz match played against former world champ Vladimir Kramnik.

Same here except I probably couldn't win. I'm not that good at chess as I used to be and I suck at blitz chess. Though if what ZB said is correct, the AI is fudgeable.
