RE: SC2 Free Play Weekend
I've only played the computer about twice I think.
I played the campaigns cause the old crack couldn't get normal games working.

RE: SC2 Free Play Weekend
AARRGGGHHH!, this is yet another F***ing web installer!

Tracing what it does, it downloads in chunks, and seems to make torrent requests.
Well, if it's a torrent client, let's see if I can trick it a bit...

RE: SC2 Free Play Weekend
This sucks, I can't find a mirror for the en-SG version, legit or otherwise.
double you tee eff?  Is everyone just fine with using the torrent client, so much so that no-one needs a direct download?
Well this ultimately sucks for me cause I can't schedule the download to start at 2AM. (well I guess I could, but it's a bit of a pain)

Have fun redownloading 7GB, Assassinator.

Promotion's only this weekend.

I haven't done any research yet, but what's this SG version stuff you're talking about?  And why can't my current install run?

EDIT: Ok, did my research.  I *think* my version might be fine.  I version I installed was gotten off the uni DC++ network, I assume a very high probability it's a local rip by some guy at our uni.  It's a clean ISO, and was available since the day after the release (at which time I have not seen a clean release of it's like on P2P).  I'll check it later when I'm on my own machine.

RE: SC2 Free Play Weekend
You're meant to use the web version, so ISO might not be fine.  IDK though.

RE: SC2 Free Play Weekend
If you want to verify, here's the MD5 hash of the "Installer Tome 1.MPQE" file (verified with the downloader)
56266228ad5a3bb69de79f6b650deaa0

(Whilst I was making a copy of the file to verify, I wished NTFS supported copy-on-writes, would've been so much quicker)

SC2 patches: http://ftp.blizzard.com/pub/starcraftII/patches/pc/

Anyway, so who's going to be on the SEA server this weekend, and what times?
I'll be at work on Friday, but Friday night I can probably go on (assuming I can install everything then), and probably on Saturday/Sunday most of the day (GMT+10 here; time is based of GMT+8 Singapore time).

Tetris999, you able to get on SEA server?

RE: SC2 Free Play Weekend
I'm finished with exams, so I should be available at most times.

... errr, assuming my internet doesn't decide to be gay and DC on me every 5 minutes that is.
