[Poll] Does buying a G19 make sense?
Quote:1. Colour GamePanel LCD
A tiltable, colour GamePanel LCD displays game stats, system information, VOIP communication data, video playback, image slideshows, and many other items, without leaving the game.
2. User-Selectable Character Backlighting Colour
Lets you personalize the keyboard to complement the rest of your computer and gaming equipment.
3. Twelve Fully Programmable G-keys with Three Macros Per Key
Provide space to program 36 time-saving commands per game (single keypresses or complex macros). The MR key allows you to record new macros on-the-fly.
4. Two High-Speed, Powered USB 2.0 Ports
You can connect and power devices – such as your G9x Laser Mouse or G35 Headset – with the two high-speed USB 2.0 ports. You also have the ability to transfer data to and from peripherals – like MP3 players and flash drives – while providing power to charge battery-powered devices.
5. Game Mode Switch
A game/desktop mode switch lets you disable the Windows /Context Menu keys so you don’t get accidentally kicked out of your game.
6. Multi-Key Input
Performing multiple actions simultaneously is also made easier with the keyboard’s multi-key input-functionality, which allows you to engage up to five keys at the same time.
This sounds good and all but it costs £126, twice as much as a G110.. which is twice as much as most decent keyboards.
It doesn't make sense to me really but someone else is telling me to get one anyway because the features make it worth it. But the cost..... makes me water my eyes xD

RE: [Poll] Does buying a G19 make sense?
I bought one...
It's not a good deal for me at all because my computer is so spoon I can't even run the background lcd apps and seriously game at the same time, but it looks pretty bad donkey and there are always bragging rights....
aside from that I'm also a developer so if my CPU could support it, I'm sure I'd be writing programs for it all the time...
also it's cool because I don't always want blue....
right now I have the hotkeys set to change it between blue purple and pink...
so that's pretty cool

As someone who desperately wants one, and is therefore biased, i say no, you shouldnt
But mostly because ill be sad then
Honestly though, i know someone with one and he says its brilliant, well worth the money, and, from my experience, i'd tend to agree with him. If you can afford it, want it, and will get the use out of it, definitely do it

they have buttons on them
they work
i would recommend them.
I bought an alienware tactx mouse; seriously? I'd say no, gaming stats are usually (actually always) displayed on screen which is usually where you are ALWAYS looking. Also, if you're complaining about macros there are PLENTY of programs out there that can turn useless keys that you don't use into your buttons of death. I spent 50$ on my mouse but i know i could've just got by with a 20$ one. My brother has an older version of this, it's cool; but when it comes to practicality and actual usage, then you're ripping yourself off. It's a big show off item, and since you're crying over the price; that's saying you really don't need it.
I mean come on guys, i play sc2 just FINE with my mouse and 20$ wireless keyboard; got all my macrios on the numpad and some on my mouse. There's really no need to a gaming keyboard imo.
MY SIG IS FUCKING DEAD

RE: [Poll] Does buying a G19 make sense?
I'm not a big fan of Logitech, they are over priced. Maybe look for a different brand that does what you need at a better price.
I like this idea.
It's the SteelSeries Merc and costs $40. OK, no mini LCD but do you really need that?
