Can someone tell me or point me to the right direction how to merge hi-res background bmps into a working 01-12.bmp? I learned about the copy b/ trick thing but it doesn't do the trick for high resolution backgrounds. I have 350x198 bmp wallpapers that I want in my PSP to have a changing background every month.

You can use jpg's to make high res ..

The only thing i want is to have 01-12.bmp with high res jpg's in it and a theme with glow and shadow icon's but the xmb dedicated ram does not alow this and so you get all white blocks!!

You can only have one hi-res background on 3.00+ firmwares.

I can not get any cause i am using glow and shadow icon's..

I made 01-12.bmp with 125x71 jpg's into the bmp
If i go higher then that i get blocks arround my icon's..

I also made a 01-12.bmp with 480x272 jpg's and only works with no shadow glow themes..

You can do the normal 01-11 + hi res 12th month

or just one hi-res January wallpaper

Or normal 01-12 bmps

do the filesize thing.
convert your bmps to jpgs (make sure they're not above 32767bytes) pad them to 32767bytes then merge them.

ive got like 4 hi-ress wallpapers (480*272px // ~95kb each) in my 01-12.bmp AND glows and im on 3.40 OE-A and everything works just perfect :)

Woo. This is kinda frustrating. Actually, I found a 01-12.bmp with 12 hi-res 480x272 backgrounds but when I used it with any topmenu (no shadow and glows), white boxes showed up particularly on the network side. So, I thouhgt maybe if one 350x198 bmps renamed to replaced 01-12.bmp works fine with my topmenu, maybe a resize of the 12 480x272 will work. But it seems the process of merging hi-res backgrounds is too complicated for me to try. And I don't have a hex editor.
