RE: Acting Up Strange
standard practice these days is - if it costs more than a new psp to fix it then they will send you a reconditioned one. however whatever you get back it WILL be upgraded to possibly the latest firmware. this means no homebrew for some time. if it is under warranty and you can live without homebrew then go for it - otherwise i would take the chance, but i can't speak for how good someone is at fixing things - im not that bad, but you may not be, in which case warranty repair is really a must.

RE: Acting Up Strange
ok but i swear you can't update with a custom firmware i remeber this from the days of 2.71 se, as in you can't use sony upgrades besides 1.5 to upgrade your psp

Anger Wrote:its nothing to do with the files you flashed - its simply the right trigger is stuck. it may be easy to fix or it may not be. if the button is stuck down it is easy to release it (press and release a few times applying a little force left or right at the same time as pressing) however if the button is not actually stuck the ribbon or the connector inside the psp could be damaged or loose. worst case is the psp may not be repairable.

IT WORKED LIKE A GOD DAMN CHARM THANKS MAN!!!!!

RE: Acting Up Strange
i think all the early version psp's are afflicted with it - mines was one of the first versions and also had that problem. bit of sand paper and the problem was no more. but it did take time to figure out why it was happening.
