9. solve (x^2 + 7x +12) / (x^2 - 9)

1. y=6x^2
(x)=6(y)^2
√x=6y
y= (±√x)/6

2. x^2-2x^2+x=0
(2 ± √2^2-4*1*1)/(2(1))
x = 0,1

3. lolwut

4. (x^2+3x-4) / (x-1)
X+4

5. Can't be assed

6. 7

7. 3 - Log3(9)

8. Can't be assed

9. (x+4)/(x-3)

Degree 2 (highest exponent of x)

let x=-1, y=1
1 = 4^-1 + c
c = 0.75

y = 4^x + 0.75

Proof is pretty much...

y = x^b
log_a(y) = log_a(x^b)
log_a(y) = b.log_a(x)
log_a(y) / log_a(x) = b
log_a(y) / log_a(x) = log_x(y)

Wiki tells me it's to help people remember how to multiply 2 term polynomials polynomials.

Lol. Multiplying polynomials is not that hard (read: very easy)... do you really need some special way to make kids remember it? And it's only for a special case anyway.
