An attraction to nostalgia (or the old technolgy and times)
Well, it's kind of hard to express this certain feeling but i guess it stems from being nostalgic over something; therefore, I'm just commenting on this weird feeling. Basically, I'm getting tired of all these bells and whistles of "sleekness" of all my technology. Whether I'm using OSX or an iphone, I'm starting to like doing things "the old way," running a windows 98 theme on my windows computer or playing with my years old gameboy color for an example.

It's just so...satisfying, that technology like this is what you spent your time on years back; and it's so comforting and awesome to revisit it. Using my decade year old computer is just so much fun, even though it's highly underpowered; playing warcraft 3 and dota is awesome.

I'm just wondering if it's just me who likes doing this?

P.S. i think I'm hanging around apple products too much >_>

MY SIG IS FUCKING DEAD

I know what you mean. I found an old car casette player today that is actually better than the one in my car now in the way that it works. It's the type with a fold out handle on the front so that you can take it with you when you go shopping so it doesn't get 'borrowed'. It'll be going in over the weekend.

Trust me, I recently watched some anime from between the 1960's and 1990's as for video games, I've been always playing games from around the 1980's to 1990's.

Spoiler for Story of My life:
Quote:I'm 20 and I was a computer/electrical engineer major. I was into my third year and I had a year and a half to go.

Then 1 day as I am doing my programming homework and figuring out what the hell was wrong with my code,

I thought to myself 'spoon, i don't want to do this for the rest of my life.'

So I changed majors and now I am a proud music (vocal) education major. The point is do what you want to do in life. Cause its your life don't let anyone hold you back.
