As some might be aware, on April 23, the 2010 FIDE World Chess Championship got underway. The contenders are GM Viswanathan Anand of India and GM Veselin Topalov of Bulgaria. So far, the scores are at 1:1, with beautiful play in the first game, with 24. Nxf6! being the highlight of the match. The 2nd game was a bit more subtle, but nonetheless quite suspenseful. you don't have to watch the whole thing, just the moves. Chess.com has a diagram of the game up, so you can marvel at it at your own pace :)

I used to play chess at a club, but haven't done that for years now (5+), forgot most of the opening theory and other stuff I once knew. Had a friend who's really good at chess (rating 2100+ back then, haven't heard from him in ages).

It's pointless anyway (watching), unless you've studied chess (yes, chess is srsbsns) at least a bit in the past, so you can "understand" (at least to some extent) their moves.
