So, today I had to go meet with my academic advisor at 9:40. I normally don't even get up until 10:30 or so because my first class is at 11, but of course, this poo poo has to occur when I really don't need it to. I was going 72mph in a 60-70 transition zone, but because they ACTUALLY had workers for like the first time I've seen them in probably 3 years since they started working on the road, it was technically a 55. I got pulled over, he doesn't even make any talk at all. I hand him my insurance info, and it turns out I don't have my most recent one, even though I DO have insurance, just an expired card. So, he gives me a ticket for going 72 in a 55 and not having insurance. I really don't want to show up at court at 9am, when it'll take 3 hours to get to me, only to protest the insurance ticket. The speeding ticket was also a joke, especially since no one has ever gone 60 on that road. Most people usually go 80, but I stick to around 70.

Why don't the officers pull people over for all the crazy stuff they do like switching lanes without signaling, cutting people off in the process, or driving with no headlights on at NIGHT/in heavy rain or anything like that? Ugh, it is just so annoying. That's the first ticket I haven't gotten a chance to talk my way out of. When I have only 5 bucks in the bank, and owe like 3000 dollars from being out of work so long, I really don't need this poo poo. Then I find out my advisor thinks I should change majors because he doesn't feel I've been doing well enough. Today has been all-around horrible so far. I better make an A on my test in an hour.

I ride a bike to school...i really wish I had a car so I can experience some of that pain lol.
