oh no my computer is broken...
why do they even put that kind of stuff on there anyways... okay anyways i disabled this one thing on my vista machine and now it doesn't want to run at all... (or boot, so i can't fix the machine myself)

it's one of those Acer machine though, and i have already e-mailed them today. which they won't get back to me before thursday. do you guys have any ideas how i can fix my compy myself?

i didn't get it either it's some refresh thing and i turned it off and now my computer will not boot (fsking thing) why would they put said feature on this thing!

basicly he disable a feature of something in his computer (RUNNING VISTA) and now his computer will not boot ( like a bricked psp) he has contacted his manufacturer (ACER) but they won't get back to him by thursday,he just wants to know if he can fix it and also if anyone knows how to

Yea i can fix that get a vista disk or a xp what ever you won't i don't care..

put the disk in your disk drive.
then unplug your pc
then plug it back in
then power it up
your pc will boot the disk...
run the instal

good idea with that...one beehatch of a problem though, will lose EVERYTHIIIIIING! haha think of it as...umm..turnin over a new leaf? or even just that ur getting rid of the hidden hershey kisses off ur comp :D lol

Wrong. this has nothing to do with the OS.
it's more like the "recovery menu" has screwed the machine up.
aka My PC has turned into a paper weight.

"yes" and no. i can recover said system. i got to reset the bios first (recovery menu)
but I'm not sure what controls such a inner program on a PC.
steps.
1.if removable. remove it for at least 10 minutes, replace said item. If not removable wait for Acer to get back to me, go to the third part of step 2.
2.boot Computer. if this step fails follow second part of of the first step. get instuctions to what to do.
3.cheer (if this worked)

but... there was this lit. battery inside the thing i was thinking that controled the recovery menu but I'm not too sure about that right now.
