Factory-Sealed copy of Stadium Events (NES) listed on eBay
First, there was this: Old NES and five games sell for US$ 13,105 on eBay

Apparently, the auction contained a copy of Stadium Events for the NES, considered to be one of the rarest games ever.  There was even talk that one, ONLY ONE factory-sealed copy existed, making it a goldmine for whoever happens to possess it.

Guess what?  That one lone factory-sealed copy is now on eBay.  And it's currently selling for a lot of money.  Just how much exactly?

IT'S OVER $20,000!
(sorry, I just had to do it.....)

Check it out here: http://cgi.ebay.com/FACTORY-SEALED-NEW-N...20af8b55d6

And I thought I did good getting over two hundred dollars for my SNES collection...

I wouldn't pay for it, I'm a collector but not a freak collector.

There are a few old games that are collector's value items that I would enjoy playing at the same time (if I had the console for it)
One particular one that I know of that's been on ebay for a few years now that is very rare and comes with a promotional item.
Though the condition is mint.

So that could be a cheap way to earn lots of money - make a weird licensed game that won't sell, keep a few copies at home and sell them 15 years down the track.

difference is, not too many people play video games that time compare to our current generation.
that game is just sold in just very few places as well.
not sure but, i think video games in the 80's cost alot as well (just like computers), very few people can afford.

nothing.

actually, if you look at the first picture on the eBay listing page, you'll see a price sticker on the item, it sold for $30, which is cheap compared to some of today's games.

but 30$ in the 80's is not equal to 30$ of today.

also, video games are just luxury for rich kids in the 80's

nothing.
