When I watched the anime her socks were usually up to below her knees
Actually, she was the only one to wear them - and as far as I saw, always wore them in any scene her legs were bare with the exception of the beach episodes.
Edit: Lol beat me propa xD

Ya'know, stuff that makes you smile, but not really laugh (speaking of relative degrees).
I supposed that's how I though about the other 13 episodes but this one wasn't really amusing either.
No, it isn't depending on how you interpret it.
Since you said you prefer more serious anime, then really, K-On wouldn't suit your style. K-On is seriously not serious, if that makes sense.
Yes, I know but I do like to watch some non-serious anime from time to time.
Anyway, speaking of the anime, who else found the 'drama scene' in episode 11 (I think) pretty, err, stupid. I knew there had to be one (all animes seem to get one no matter what) but they could have done it better.
Was it when Ritsu got a cold and for the first time there were negative interactions between her and Mio and then Yui got the cold and forgot her guitar?
Yeah, that one.
But now I might have to take back what I said about they could have improved it simply because it's probably hard to make one for that sort of genre of anime especially after the innocent happy life lead for the previous 12 episodes, they didn't just want it to all go down did they?
Also I forgot there was a bit of another drama scene when Azusa first tries to join the light music club.
