Avant Window Navigator, AWN 0.4 (or rather 0.39 something trunk xD ) in floaty mode. Are there any better docks? I personally think AWN rocks but aside from GnomeDO I haven't really looked for alternatives (Cairo Dock was awfully buggy last time I tried it....)

i prefer cairo. it has a lot more cool things you can do with it.

cairo dock has come a long way, starting in october 2009. their website is down right now though...

My imho best new gen desktop to date^^
Aside from USB 2.0 my hackintosh 10.5.8 install runs like a dream now^^
And I think that's my most beautiful desktop since I left most stuff of default Windows desktops behind :P (I admit it, I miss my old XP/Vista desktops pretty often with my masses of icons and whatnot, heck I even miss my CRT sometimes xD)

Take Mac OSX, use Candybar to mod your dock/icons, set your desktop label options to right instead of bottom, use DragThing to get my left drawers, Bowtie for the music display, Geektool for the Time/Date and Adium^^
