Who here knows about OLDE computers?
I've recently come across an Amstrad CPC 464 in a junk shop on my way to work.

This baby's rocking a Zilog Z80 4MHz porcessor with 64 KB of RAM. Does anyone know of anything interesting that could be done with it? Easily programmable? A good project? Game casettes (fudge yeah) are stupid cheap on eBay if I can't program it to do my bidding. The machines themselves are starting at around £30 (Actions. No Buy-it-Now listings at the time) which suggests to me that it isn't that much of a collectors item. Still, might be a bit if fun.

Long story short: Should I buy it?

I personally think playing with an embedded system will be more fun if you want to toy around with low powered hardware, but people have their preferences...
Can also try an emulator, though IDK for that particular system.

I got most of my collection from my days working at Cash Converters. I have Atari 2600's, 7800's, C64's, MSI's, MSII's, MDI's, MDII's, NES's, SNES's, Famicoms, DC's, Saturns, and the list goes on...

But none of these:

I say buy it.  Even if it's just as a paperweight/phone/alarm clock.
