There's a lot of confusion in many forum sites about the different releases of this cfw. Gen got confused in the release. But yoshihiro posted at gen that tonight, france time, he will release a "full" package and the patch for irshell.

Not sure what that full package is as yoshihiro doesn't write perfect english (same as me lol)

Over @ dash-hacks it says that there is a problem with phat psp's installing 5.50 GEN-D3?

Should I not install this until it's fixed?

greg Wrote:The scoop: All right… So wee’re in #psp-hacks live chat testing things out, discussing, you know… PSP-2000 (Slim) — bang on; Yoshihiro, my sincerest. PSP-1000 (Phat) — something’s a little off… The PSP-1000, under System Information, reports 5.50 GEN-D (Full), while the Slim is sayin’ 5.50 GEN-D3. At least for me it is. On the 1000 you may experience other odd behaviour too. I can’t speak for 5.03 GEN-C and 2000v3/3000, but feel free to leave your comments below.

I think I'll wait awhile before installing this.

    RE: CF 5.50GEN-D3
The first release which gen team says as beta may actually be the final and correct version as it installs okay with slim and phat, albeit it shows 5.50 Gen D (full) on phats, when it should be gen d3 as in slims. The phats would play 6.10 games on the memstick, even with that wrong system info.

Gen team might have gotten confused.

From the looks of the update, all it does it you play more games so it doesn't really mean much to me seeing as no recent games interest although I will probably have to update when Darius Burst comes out.

    Is there a simple updater?
And does it make SensMe work?

    ^^^ Sensme should work...

It would appear that there was a botched release.
Supposedly you want your PSP to say "5.50 GEN (FULL)", according to this thread anyway:

    http://www.consolespot.net/forums/genera...final.html

    It's all a little confusing..
