But theres a difference between unhackable, not easily hackable, and not likely to be hacked by the person using it. Calling it one, when in reality its the other, is still far from the truth

lol. if i was there, give me 2 weeks, and i would have a fully-hacked, untraceable netbook. then i would realize that i just worked at getting a free netbook. and then i would feel like an idiot.
by the way, is the NSW allowing you to install alternate Operating Systems? like say you wanted to use Ubuntu, could you? or would that require disabling a bunch of stuff in the BIOS?

How would you get anything else to boot when you can't enter the BIOS?
It does depend on how serious they are too - eg if the BIOS requires a signed bootloader, and then there's a TPM chip to provide full disk encryption, even taking out the HDD won't allow you to break the security.

I am a student in NSW and will be receiving my laptop in the next months :)

If you guys want, I can post updates related to the laptops.

Also, I WILL be taking out the hard drive, installing Linux on the harddrive and flashing a new BIOS (http://driverscollection.com/?file_cid=4...3003d4b5c) onto it.

I'll keep you guys posted :)
