iPod sucks for videos.  I got the PSP over an iPod just for better screen, plus being able to use it as a storage device, and not having to use crappy synching software.

If it's music, I guess iPod isn't too bad - many people like the way it works.  Photos and videos are only really small additional bonuses.

I have an iPod mini. lol. it doesn't even play movies. :P

same, i have a iPod Mini too, and you only need it for music. if you want photos and vids, then get or just use your iPod :D

FF8 is a PS1 game.

If u want emulation, then the PC is way better, and u save $300. There's also a PC version

PS2 can also play it perfectly, and it's cheaper than PSP. PSX emulation doesn't even work perfectly on PSP.


So buying PSP to play FF8 seems like a very weird choice.

I straight swapped a 15GB iPod 2G for a PSP with my uncle a while ago...

PC emulation isn't perfect, and if the PC port of FFVIII was anything like the PC port of FFVII, then it sucks too.

Either way, your PC isn't as portable as a PSP, not even a laptop.

Doesn't seem like such a strange choice to me.
