Found this at PSPGEN.COM, apparently Total_Noob has updated his Ultimate VSH Menu to be compatible with 5.50 GEN.

"Ultimate Revised by VSH Menu is a plugin Total_Noob replacement VSH menu Custom Firmware 5.00M33, 5.02GEN, 5.03GEN and 5.50GEN. It offers all the useful FUNCTIONS GEN VSH menu and even more, which makes it totally necessary at all.

The Functionality of this plugin are:
All functions of VSH Menus official (GEN and M33)
Possibility to customize the colors
Button  will be open the Recovery, that is VSH menu or anything.
The Recovery Menu is accessible from the VSH. On leaving, it will be possible to return directly to VSH, or reboot by pressing  when leaving. (Public Practice to enable the VSH plugins and validate configuration changes sdaN get 36 to manipulation)
The assignment of the button  may be changed by pressing  +  +  simultaneously. Thus in a single operation can affect either the Recovery or VSH menu or anything to that key. Indispensable.
The Recovery menu can be opened via the VSH Menu
The function Random Color option is available, it will change the color of the system randomly
A new feature is available in the VSH menu allowing you to quickly start a homebrew (ms0: / PSP / GAME / VSHMenu / EBOOT.PBP).
An option to convert the battery is available (normal pandora battery or autoboot and vice versa). Also indicates if the motherboard does not allow it.
The Slim Patch by Color Bubbletune (for PSP FAT) has been integrated
Charging via USB can be altered in the VSH menu (for the PSP SLIM course).
The ability to hide the MAC address has been added
Icon updated to play a UMD can be hidden in the XMB
Function screenshots (NOTE, NOTE + R, L + NOTE, + A SCREEN, SCREEN or L + NOTE + SCREEN, disabled).
Possibility of the PSP in standby, turn it off or reboot from the VSH Menu
What will - there to actually enjoy?
All that can withstand PSP Custom Firmware (Includes PSP 2000 and PSP-v3-3000)
5.xx a Custom Firmware (5.00M33, 5.02GEN, 5.03GEN and 5.50GEN)

Yeah that does say 5.50 GEN-D (FUll), could be a beta of some sort.

Modding the version.txt doesn't spoof your software on the information panel, and Davee's spoofer isn't compatible with GEN.
