Total uptime: No idea. I'm dual booting XP and Ubuntu plus the fact I have to re-install at least one of them every month or so after breaking them...
Wait a sec. How about using SpeedFan or something of that ilk to read the hard drive's S.M.A.R.T. data, giving me it's uptime. Considering that the hard drive is turned on for 99.9% of the time that the computer is turned on it should give a decent reading... One sec.
EDIT:
OK, I'm told that my hard drive has been receiving power for a total of 2182 hours which is 90 days, 21 hours, 50 minutes and 24 seconds. I've owned the laptop since March meaning in the 5 months I've had it it's been on for 60.61% of the time.
Either I've made a mistake, the S.M.A.R.T. data is inaccurate or I have no life.

@Squee. What laptop do you have? Either I'm missing something or you've overclocked it judging by the Overclock entry in the folder-tree-thing on the left. Never come across a laptop that was overclockable...

yeh my laptop underclocks itself automatically like most dual-quad cores do
by the way its a macbook
Oh yeah. Forgot about that. Currently I'm running at 795MHz but at the drop of a hat it'll kick up to 2100MHz if it needs to. Watching the temps is a little scary sometimes though. 40° to 60° in about 30 seconds...

Wow, you guys reinstalled Windows fairly recently.
I know in Linux there's the "uptime" and "last" commands, but they aren't really what you're looking for. If I recall correctly, shutdowns and startups are logged, so should theortically be possible to parse the log files...
