Making a CTF Theme
Ok, I'm thinking of making my first ever CTF theme. Problem is, while I can visualize the theme and everything in my head, I really don't know where to get started. Ever since seeing the possibilities of CXMB, I think the standard menu (like you see in the normal menu) won't cut it, but when I look at a tutorial, I think that they're having you use the standard menu. Am I looking at it wrong, or do you have to start out with the standard menu? And most importantly, where do I get started?

RE: Making a CTF Theme
Hi,
I'm not a themer, so I may be wrong/inaccurate, but:
Which tutorial were you specifically looking at?
I think you generally start with a "clean theme", but you could also make modifications to an existing one.
There's a number of things which can be done, including changing icons, fonts, positions and so on - you're probably better off tying to search for these components.

RE: Making a CTF Theme
Well, seems to be about any tutorial, even the one here, although I may be looking at it wrong. And I don't want to edit any existing ones without the original creator's permission, and even then I'd credit them for the original theme. And as for the components, I have no clue where to look for those.

RE: Making a CTF Theme
First get you already posted theme and investigate , Do you know what file holds wich part from the xmb ( i mean RCOz and PRXz). ?
If you don't know then get already made theme and start looking at it till you understand it , Do you know the difference between Flash0 themes and CTF ?

RE: Making a CTF Theme
Ok, Flash0 themes have their contents put directly into the Flash0 of the PSP, which holds all of the system files that makes the PSP work, and CTF themes are like Flash0 files, except they're put into one file and loaded through CXMB, thereby decreasing the chances of bricking. Right?

Right , they are the same thing , but CTF is packed Flash0 into one file , yes

first get you a made theme Flash0 , if you have CTF you can extract the files Flash0 from it , and look at them in the editor .... then its up to you.
