I didn't terribly enjoy mine.  Mostly people just talking -- can do that at school without paying all that money and wearing a suit...  Some people also decided to come in limos which probably cost more than the tickets and suit hire put together.
Dance floor was absurdly small as well, place was just meh.  Wee didn't have stuff like you did, so lucky you!

Eh, could be just the environment.  I didn't find mine really special or anything, and everyone didn't really seem that different (apart from being dressed more formally).

mine was worse than a normal day at school for most of it, i just stood there like a lemon most of it while everyone talked in a group and kept on trying to nudge me out =(

the dancing was hilarious though XD, i brought ps3 Home dance moves to the dance floor XD

Mine was supposedly pretty awesome from what I've heard... But I was overseas, so couldn't go.
