Could someone tell me what the PAL » NTSC is for? My friend from the UK was asking me why he needs to check it for his PAL Playstation games to play on his PSP.

RE: [PSP] Simple Popstation GUI v3.00 beta
Okay so I'm having a problem and I need help BIGTIME!
My psp is at 3.40 Open Edition firmware by dark alex and I am trying to play Chrono Cross and Final Fantasy Origins.
Chrono Cross freezes everytime right after i beat the Komodo dragon boss at the beginning of the game.
FF Origins won't even load when i click on it. It gives this error "The game cannot be started. The data is corrupted."
What is the problem? Is it the 3.40 OE-A firmware or what? Thanks in advance.

For the first one, yes, it's a pops problem - try other 3.xx OE firmwares if you wish.
As for the second, that's odd - maybe an EBOOT customization is stuffing it up? Also, check the length of the folder name under ms0:/PSP/GAME - it should be no longer than 31 characters.

RE: [PSP] Simple Popstation GUI v3.00 beta
^^I think only unchecking the gameboot PNG will cause "corruption" on 3.10 OE or higher (3.03 OE doesn't seem to have the issue). Otherwise, nope, unchecking the stuff won't cause corruption.

Game ID. Need some advise.
Hmm... I got a problem. Here's how it goes:
I got FF7 from external source because I was too lazy to iso and convert to eboot myself. Played the game about 5hrs in and met some glitches. Reading the some threads, I guess it must be some kinda corrupted iso or whatever.
So I decided to iso and convert my own FF7. I did it with Alcohol 120% and Simple Popstation GUI 3.00 Beta. And the game runs fine.
BUT, even though I set the same game title and same game ID as the former glitched FF7, I'm still unable to load the saved game with my new FF7.
Any advise? Worst case scenario is replaying everything again~lol
I'm using 3.40 oe-a by the way.

Eh, ok. Nevermind about the question i asked.
I replay again in the new FF7 and it crash again. I am not sure if Simple Popstation GUI 3.00 beta here is at fault here. But I am going to try out other converter and see how it goes.
CHeers!

From what I recall, FF7 does have glitches. This is an issue with Sony's pops emulator, unfortunately.
