but then when you recieve the refurb PS3 it will ask to reformat it to check it's 'integrity' if you put in a new HDD

Just finished backing everything up. I deleted all from my larger hdd, as the guy told me that it will format it when i stick it in the new oneErk Two games that will take me like forever to put back on are everybodys golf and metal gear. They take like an hour each. Oh and They arn't charging me anything. Haven't even had mine for a year yet. I've been playing burnout sooo much that it was lucky I put the blu ray movie in. Otherwise who knows when I would have noticed lol @Nacos They are doing a straight swap on WednesdayAhhyes

yeah sony UK always does that, did it with my psp aswell, they just give u a new one and take the old one..
it should actually be a new one, not a refurb (that is as long as your in your 1st year)
