apparently, every single 30gb zune froze on DEC 31 2008. No other models were effected. Wierd, huh?   source

not only were they suckers for buying a zune instead of a psp, but now its crashed and the only way to fix it is to remove the battery and harddrive to reset the date....

LULZ good insight... my dads really mad. his zune broke (he just got it like a week before xmas.) And luckily if the a psp ever crashed, wee would have a friendly pandora battery to save us.

my guess is that 2009 is a leap year. the system probably had a bug involving date changes...
