Need help under clocking
I have a Compaq Presario CQ50-139WM with a 2.0GHz CPU, but im leaving to Mexico in seven hours, the ride there is seven hours, and the battery only last about 2 hours without wi-fi, low screen brightness, ect. I have no charger in those 7 hours. Can't mess with clock using ClockGen for some reason, any help? 15 e pigs to whoever can help before i leave.

RE: Need help under clocking
Unlikely going to last 7 hours.
Generally, you change clock settings in the BIOS, and whether you can underclock or not depends partly on the BIOS. Just go in and lower the core clock speed as much as possible - your core clock is running at 166MHz, so lower it as much as possible.
Do you have EIST enabled? If so, it should fluctuate your multiplier automatically as well. Make sure you have the "Minimal Power" scheme set in Windows power management.

I know it won't last the whole time. Bios doesn't have those settings, already checked. What's EIST? It only last 2 hours on the minimal setting.

RE: Need help under clocking
The BIOS _should_ have clock/multiplier/voltage settings somewhere, unless it's designed to stop you from changing them >_> (or maybe laptops are different)
If there's no EIST option, then don't worry about it.
