found this topic under the closed help section and wanted to help but was closed so i thought i would post it here. to get your UMD tools to work on Vista simply delete Umdstreamcomposer.exe.MANIFEST from the bin folder of your umd tools, its only used for the XP version of windows. I did this, and have had no problems using the streamcomposer for quite some time now. anyway hope this helps anyone having problems.

how's it wrong if it actually works,and has been working for months without problems. if anything why don't you just say what you did to get them to work instead of just saying wrong.

nothing related to Umdstreamcomposer.exe.MANIFEST.

i did nothing, it just works.

maybe it depends on what vista you're using? Like matchung is using vista ultimate, what one are you using oz999??

suppose it's possible, i am just on preinstalled vista havent changed to anything fancier yet. also possible is that the tools matchung got were pre edited to work on vista. heard about alot of people that can't use umd tools on vista, streamcomposer dosent start, it happened to me also. and like i mentioned, found an old post about it here too, but no one had mentioned my solution which seemed much easier than what everyone was attempting. anyway whatever gets the tools to work for people, that's what's important.

i did nothing to my umd tools, it runs well in my XP before, now im in vista, touched nothing, it works fine too..

are you missing some DLL>?
