all new EA pc-games have the dreaded DRM...

(spore, biohazard, crysis warhead and soon RA3)

what i hate is, it limits the number of times you can install the game T_T, i regret buying spore (can only be installed 3 times), but i will buy RA3 ( can only be installed 5 times).

That's exactly the kind of poo poo I'm talking about.

It doesn't stop pirates (cracks, imaging, whatever), and only really screws over the people who honestly paid. Pirates will install it as many times as they like.

I would never buy a game that can only be installed 3 times.

Me neither - I swear I had to install 'The Sims' a hell of a lot more than 3 times cause people wanted to play on their machines too - sharing is fun and sociable - this is destroying that possibility let alone reinstalling after an installation fudges up.

These games aren't being bought - they are being rented at a retail price. Bullchocolate.

exactly...pay £30+, get screwed over
Don't pay £30, sure no online but LAN play works fine, and i can have it as many different games within the LAN as possible

Or, for many of my games now, i buy the game, but use the no-CD and hope to hell i can avoid securom on my system (i think i failed though...XD)
