Dinners and Arguments
Well, I'm fairly happy, as tonight me and my family are going out for sushi to celebrate my birthday a little early. The reason is that my dad is leaving on a business trip tomorrow, and is gonna be gone for like 2 weeks, so wee figured wee'd celebrate on the last day wee'll be together for a while. Me and my brother are also gonna see Quarantine, the US remake of [・REC], a Spanish horror flick, and one of my all time favorite movies.

In other news, me and my dad might have a permanent rift in our relationship. He and I got in this giant argument over religious and political things, where I told him of my somewhat liberal views, and the fact that I don't share his religious beliefs. Wee got into a bit of a shouting match, and it ended with me going upstairs. A bit later, he came to my room to tell me that it was nothing personal. I countered saying that it was. He's my father, I'm his son, it always is, and always will be personal. There's no avoiding that. I also told him that I'm a far more liberal person than him, and he's gonna have to learn to deal with it. I'm never gonna share his beliefs. I think that was what ended the night for the two of us.

Anyway, a mix of happy and sad, but whatever. Such is life.

lawl...

I told my parents of my belief in the flying spaghetti monster and they don't care.

I don't really believe in any religion I think I'm probably more atheist and just use pastafarianism to mock other religions

I assume they think I am joking, but I am fine with it either way.

I will probably abandon my parents when I am old enough

If he came to apologize... isn't that a good thing? Why blow him away...

No, I don't mean to just follow his beliefs.

I meant that if he came to apologize, then probably a good idea to accept apology and drop argument, rather than keep going. (I mean, I seriously DOUBT you are going to change his mind, or him change yours.... So pointless arguing?)

I didn't blow him away, and wee didn't continue the arguing. He just told me that it was nothing personal, and I responded that it will always be personal, but I'll never share his beliefs.
