The DSi will be released in Japan on November 1. It will retail for ￥18,900 (USD$180), and will be available in two colours, white and black. It will be released in other markets sometime "next year".

Seems like every device these days comes with a camera...

Do you think the R4 will still work with it?

I'm guessing it will, since it will run all DS cartridges. The R4 just acts like a standard DS game, and it runs through all the checks. Once it's through, it loads the ROMs. So I see no reason why it shouldn't. Colors on that larger screen will be awesome

I just realised its a .3MP not a 3MP cam which fudgeing sucks

It's an add-on, but I wasn't referring to the PSP 3000 in that context (I meant like how all phones have them etc).

Wow, that's pretty bad...  Though isn't too bad if you're just looking at the photos on the DS screen (a bit less than 640x480 resolution).

Well, it's better than the Xbox 360 webcam....

I still really want to get this, as my R4 will work with it, plus the SD card slot and DSiWare will be awesome to get some arcadey games. I mean, the stuff on WiiWare has been kickass already, so the DSiWare stuff will probably be awesome too, what with the touchscreen.

this is indeed a neat improvement... but Spring 2009? a bit late IMO,..

Haven't checked any sources whatsoever, but this was the comment made on that page:
