Wow that sucks.  Tis why I don't play around with partitions - dangerous stuff...

That program will only work for single files. His whole partition is gone, so it won't be able to see them.

The program suite I have on my live cd works for what he needs....and if he'll just give me the go ahead, I'll start uploading it.

Well, as long as you don't touch that other partition, it should be recoverable...I hope.

I hope you haven't tried mounting it. In about 4 hours the upload of that disc image will be done and I'll share it with everyone. It's a sweet utility to have.

i think i created an empty partition over it. but ill try
