WiFi/Bluetooth Co-existence
Anybody know how to use wifi and bluetooth without my wifi interupting my bluetooth and vice versa?

I thought about wrapping everything in tinfoil but I don't know if that will work

Different channels?

Wifi operates on 1/3rd of the 2.4ghz spectrum and bluetooth jumps all over it. with each of it's channels being 1mhz and having a total of 79 (or something like that) channels.

I don't believe my current stack supports restricting of bluetooth channels and if it did it would probably result in audio quality loss which is just not acceptable

RE: WiFi/Bluetooth Co-existence
try diractional antennae. have your wifi one pointing towards your router and your bluetooth one  pointing towards  whatever it  needs to be pointed at. if you're hardware doesn't have provisions for external antennae then you may have to resort to tinfoil. for tinfoil to stop signals you  have to earth it.

edit: have a read of  this: Article according to that bluetooth is meant to actively avoid channels with interference. have a look at your settings.

also, what the hell  is a stack?

You can change the channel the wifi uses.

I have a bluetooth headset and wifi connection.

They don't conflict at all.

RE: WiFi/Bluetooth Co-existence
How would I go about doing this?
is it supported by wireless N
and would I have to change the router and my computer or just the router.

RE: WiFi/Bluetooth Co-existence
It really depends on the model/brand.
I know I could do it with my Belkin wireless router, by my Linksys doesn't seem to have that option.

But then again, you really don't need to mess around with either one.

Either the bluetooth or the wifi will jump channels automatically if there is too much interference.

...perhaps.
Haven't had any problems for a bit but there was a big gap earlier...

maybe it adjusted after that.

before that they just seemed to crash into each other
