Anyone can recommend a task/alert manager type program?
Have been looking around, but unable to find something I like. Basically, just want a program which will pop up with some specified alerts at certain times. It should also be smart enough to pop up after the specified time if it hasn't before (ie, if I set the time to 7:30AM, but turn the computer on at 8:00AM, it should still pop up with the message).
Basically, something like Outlook's reminders, though without Outlook. Have tried Mozilla Sunbird, but uses a bit too much RAM (don't really need something as fancy).
Thanks in advance :)

Hmm i don't use anything like this but I do use Google Calendar which sends my ultra-loud 3310 a text message at any specified time warning me of anything in my calendar, completely free.

Google Calendar looks like a web thing (not something I really wanted), but thanks for the suggestion.
And thanks feinicks - I'll try that out when I get a chance to download it :P

You know, if you weren't such a geek(:P), you wouldn't care about how much RAM it takes up. :)

no probs...
I personally do not like Outlook. Its made by MS. Its vulnerable. It sucks.
You'll get the Lite (free) ver. here. Its abour 3MB. The Pro is for 4MB and you know how to obtain that...

RE: Anyone can recommend a task/alert manager type program?
One program my dad uses is called Notewhen. Seems to work for him just fine. He uses another program too, but I can't remember its name. You have the option to remind yourself again in however much time you want once it alerts you the first time. It is pretty small program, but seems to do what you'd need.

RE: Anyone can recommend a task/alert manager type program?
I tried Rainlender lite, seems to do the job, so I'll stick with it. Prefer not to have all those skins though - a simple standard dialog box alert is all I need...
Thanks again fro all the recommendations :)
