RE: Optimum Xvi4PSP encoding??
^^ just remeber that using those settings its gonna take a while to encode even on a fast pc... exhaustive search is kinda overkill in most cases but its the best and takes the longest.... if you want to make it go fast, open taskman and turn the xvid4psp.exe process to low priorty and watch the encoding process shoot up too 99% ... the encoding process is done outside of Xvid4psp itself.. its just a gui to write avs scripts for people who don't know how

RE: Optimum Xvi4PSP encoding??
My suggestions:
- Don't use exhaustive search - it does a pixel by pixel comparison and is totally unnecessary.  Adds a LOT to encoding time, and has very little effect on size in general
- Use 2 reference frames (shame you can't use more)
- Don't use HE-AAC on the PSP - it doesn't support SBR, so it'll end up sounding worse.  I'd use LC-AAC, VBR @ q0.2 or similar.
- I'd probably use constant quality over constant quantizer, but that's a bit of a choice to you

The main things you optimise are ME algorithm (use multi-hex) and SubME (use level 6 or 7).

heV2-aac works fine im using that using edited zinga settings

i do a 2 pass-quantizer extreme with it being 18 and 15 min
and hev2-aac at 20 works great

i advise you do azumi settings on a 2 pass extreme over-night depending on cpu

also exhaustive settings are where i never noticed them

No, the PSP doesn't decode SBR or PS, which makes HE-AAC fairly useless on the PSP.

18 is very high.  In general, you shouldn't go below 20 unless you have ultra sharp eyes and always pay attention to every little detail on screen...

ME algorithm.

really ii encoded an episode of ef a tale of memories ended up 71mb and alot higher quality than with just a 2 pass bitrate

and i used hev2-aac vbr
didnt notice any difference in audio quality but file size

Probably an a voice video you won't notice too much difference, since SBR only replicates upper frequency ranges, and most voice operates in the lower frequency ranges.
However, it will sound very similar to LC-AAC.

You will most likely notice a difference with music however (at lower bitrates (≤64kbps) at least).
