im actually one of the members who usually votes without commenting mostly because im usually in a hurry on the way out somewhere or i just can't be bothered making a post.
and for the record, i vote for the sig which has the best effects and overall feel (as there is no point in having greatlooking effects in a sig which just don't suit the render), not just the render/stock/member.

you're missing the point.. its just supposed to be a post telling why you picked one sig over the other.. like better blending or effect or use of c4d and like... one person'd point of view will remain independent from others. No discussion or flaming!

you're just suggesting something that will stop people from having a choice in doing - like YoYo and dedat... wee're fine as is, and so nothing more needs to be done.

i never look at the names of who made the sigs, jus voted 4 wat i liked... i didn realise people wer doin that!

I look at the names but usually just to see who made the sig I like. I'm never like well I like this guy I'll vote for him. Even if the person I hated had made the better sig I would vote for them, it's just a sig battle after all.

For battles perhaps i could understand, telling the other person why they didnt vote for them is fine

But in SOTW, like everyone else said, i take a quick look, see which one stands out to me (wether because of graphical skill or just the render used, i sometimes don't care) and vote for it. I don't think because i vote, and imo that in itself invokes bias; Once i start thinking, i start thinking who i want to vote for as opposed to what

I know there is lots of bias in the voting, but it doesn't really matter :P
