Many Dj's from Australia??? There's Dj Ravine, Dj Cotts, Dj S3RL and other ones i can't remember right now. I know there are many Dj's allover the world but those are some pretty big ones, or at least IMO they are.

So why???

Never heard of any of them...

But I've heard of hundreds from here in The States.
They just must not get celebrity exposure I guess...

EDIT: Don't be quick to let down USA though; you have to remember they they pretty much invented hip-hop [in the 'slums' of their biggest city, not to mention] and prety much spawned the entire commercial 80's movement; with inspiration from european experimentalists in music of course ;)
